What AI is good at
- A first draft of the days — grouping sights by area so you are not crossing the city back and forth.
- Pacing — suggesting a relaxed or a packed day based on what you ask for.
- Ideas you would not have found — a neighbourhood, a viewpoint, a market.
Give it good input
The more specific the request, the better the draft. Mention the dates, who is travelling (friends, family with kids), the pace you like and what the group enjoys — food, museums, nature, nightlife. In Tripw the day planner suggests a plan for each day with times and places, based on the destinations, hotels and flights already in the trip — and you can ask in your own words, e.g. “more museums, a quiet day”.
Always check the details
AI suggestions can be out of date or wrong about specifics. Before you rely on a plan:
- Check opening hours and closing days on the official site.
- Book timed entries yourself — AI does not know what is sold out.
- Look at the travel times between stops on a map.
Edit it together
A draft becomes a good plan when the group shapes it: remove what nobody wants, move a museum to a rainy day, add the restaurant a friend recommended. Nothing the AI suggests in Tripw is saved to the trip until you confirm it, and everyone on the trip can then see and adjust the plan.

Privacy
Only share what the AI needs for the request. In Tripw, only the details submitted for that action and the trip details it needs are sent to the AI provider (Anthropic's Claude) for processing; they are not used to train models, and you can turn AI sharing off in Settings.
