When to go and how long to stay
Late spring and early autumn bring mild weather; summer is busy and some small restaurants close in August. Three days cover the highlights; add a fourth for Versailles or a slower pace.
What to book in advance
The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower summit and many popular restaurants use timed or advance booking. Agree on the must-dos as a group first, then book them in one go and share the confirmations in the trip.
Getting around together
The Métro is the fastest way across the city, and central Paris is very walkable. Group days work better when each day stays in one or two neighbourhoods rather than zig-zagging across town.
Group tips
- Pick one long museum per day at most — people tire at different speeds.
- Picnics along the Seine or in a park are an easy, cheap group dinner.
- Track shared costs in one currency and settle up once at the end.
